Drunk, my dad swears on me and mistreats me. Is this emotional abuse from a parent?

My dad is not a drunkard basically but now his drinking habits have increased enormously, all of a heap. When he is drunk, he misbehaves with me, piquing me for my bad grades in college (I used to be a very bright student back in high school), calling my self confidence ********* but when he is sober he behaves well and acts as if he never misbehaved. I'm very depressed about how he behaves with me when he is drunk and it has serious repercussions on my mental health. He promise to not drink that much but he's failed to stick to it and continue to swear on me and bring my morale down (while he's drunk, that is). Is this emotional abuse me sorts?
