I really need a good book?

Okay, I seem to have run out of good books to read! I haven't found one for quite a while and it irks me to think that I've read all the good ones out there. I couldn't have. I enormously enjoyed Niel Gaiman's Neverwhere and Catherine Fisher's Incarceron relatively recently and would like a book along those lines. Like those books, I would like for it to have great character development, good, edge of your..whatever it is you are sitting/lying on while reading, adventure, and amazingly creative plots. I would also love it if it were to have a touch of romance in it. Thats all :) . Thank you.
