What clears hyperpigmitation for scarring on the face?

I got into a fight and I got 5 stitches and I've tried mederma but its not working as I thought it would. The scar is above my right eyebrow and its not too big but there's hyperpigmitation around it and discoloration in the light, my skin is light brown (I'm armenian) the things I use for my skin regularly is Clean & clear advantage 3 in 1 exfoliating cleanser, Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser, and this other scrub I usually use in the shower. And I use a moisturizer regularly for my skin. But I use these for acne purposes. But is there any thing I can use at home or buy at the store to help get rid of the scar fully... if not fully but as best as it can?? Thanks :)
