Why do highly touted Royals prospects always dominate in the minors but disappoint in the majors ?

Well first of all Alex Gordon looks like he's finally having that breakout year. Also, it's unfair to just assume that Eric Hosmer is going to make an immediate impact in the first two games! Be patient. He may show an impact quickly or it may take him some time. Maybe it won't happen at all; sometimes players come up with large expectations and do not end up enjoying the careers many expected. But to make a judgment on this guy from 2 games?
